SUVLook is built around a simple rule: a useful dimension needs a clear source and a clear explanation of what that number actually measures.
Factory specifications first
For published measurements, model-year specifications and capacity figures, we prioritize current manufacturer documentation and official technical material. When an exact dimension is not published, we say so rather than turning an estimate into a factory specification.
Other measurements are labeled by source
When a manufacturer does not publish the measurement a reader needs, a guide may use a third-party physical measurement or an owner-reported measurement. Those figures are attributed to their source and are not presented as factory specifications or as measurements taken by SUVLook.
Measurements need context
Cargo-floor length is different from hatch-opening height. Maximum width is different from the narrowest width between wheel housings. Our guides separate these measurements so readers can use the right number for crates, bikes, mattresses, strollers and other bulky items.
Model years are not interchangeable
Redesigns and trim changes can alter dimensions. SUVLook labels model years carefully and calls out generation changes when older measurements should not be carried forward.
How rankings are handled
Buying-guide rankings start with the criteria stated in the guide. A tall-driver guide, for example, gives more weight to headroom, legroom, rear-seat usability and trim-specific roof changes than to unrelated features. The article should explain the trade-offs rather than hide them behind a score.
Corrections and updates
When source material changes or a measurement needs clarification, we update the affected claim and its supporting context. See the corrections policy or send a correction to editor@suvlook.com.
