If you want a Lexus SUV hybrid, you have more choice than almost any luxury brand: the lineup runs from the compact UX Hybrid to the full-size LX 700h. Lexus lists plug-in hybrids too, and one three-row hybrid, the TX 500h. This guide gathers the powertrain, output, fuel economy and seating that Lexus publishes on pages that were readable today, and it leaves a gap where a page gave no figure.

Lexus hybrid and plug-in hybrid SUV lineup

The table lists every hybrid or plug-in hybrid SUV for which Lexus published a figure on the pages we read. "Net combined hp" is the term Lexus uses for the total of engine and electric motors. Fuel economy is the combined figure shown on the page; the plug-in hybrids are shown in MPGe, which is not comparable to a plain mpg number.

The Lexus UX page and the UX Hybrid press page both give 196 total system horsepower for front- and all-wheel drive. The model-year labels matter: the UX, NX and TX figures are for the 2026 model, while the RX and LX pages we read were labeled 2027. Do not assume a 2027 figure carries back to 2026.

Lexus UX Hybrid: the smallest hybrid Lexus

The 2026 UX Hybrid page lists an in-line four-cylinder hybrid on every trim, 196 net combined horsepower and five seats. Combined fuel economy is listed as 43 mpg for front-wheel drive and 42 mpg for all-wheel drive.

Starting prices on the page run from $39,050 for the base 300h FWD to $49,040 for the 300h F SPORT Handling AWD. Lexus labels these starting prices and the page does not say whether they include destination charges, so confirm the full price with a dealer.

The Lexus press room says the UX enters 2026 with the same hybrid powertrain and only minor color and trim changes. It lists no mpg figure of its own, so the mpg values come from the model page.

Lexus NX: hybrid and plug-in hybrid

The 2026 NX page lists a gas NX 350 and a family of electrified trims. The NX 350h has 240 net horsepower. Combined fuel economy is 40 mpg in front-wheel drive and 39 mpg in all-wheel drive. Starting prices on the page range from $46,570 (350h) to $56,595 (350h F SPORT Handling AWD).

The plug-in NX 450h+ has 304 net horsepower and a listed 84 MPGe. The page gives an electric driving rating of 37 miles. It is offered in Premium, Luxury and F SPORT Handling AWD trims, priced from $59,505 to $64,525 on the page. Every NX trim on the page is a five-seater.

For comparison, the gas NX 350 on the same page lists 275 horsepower and 24 mpg combined. Lexus's 2027 NX press page says the NX moves to a fully electrified lineup, with a choice of hybrid or plug-in hybrid, so a 2027 NX will not be sold with the gas-only engine. That press page does not give horsepower or mpg, so we do not quote 2027 NX figures.

Lexus RX hybrid: three electrified versions

The RX page we read describes the 2027 RX (the address carried a 2026 label, but the page itself said 2027). It lists three electrified powertrains:

  • RX 350h: 246 net combined hp, 37 city / 34 highway / 36 combined mpg, 7.4 seconds 0-60 mph, from $57,750 (Premium AWD).
  • RX 450h+: 304 net combined hp, 85 MPGe (estimate), 6.2 seconds 0-60 mph, from $66,880 (Premium AWD).
  • RX 500h F SPORT Performance AWD: 366 net combined hp, 27 / 28 / 27 mpg, 5.9 seconds 0-60 mph, $68,950.

The 2027 RX Hybrid press page names six grades: Premium, Premium+, Luxury, F SPORT Handling, F SPORT Performance and F SPORT Design. The pages we read did not state RX seating capacity, so this guide does not list it.

3 row Lexus SUVs: which are hybrids?

Shoppers searching for a 3 row Lexus usually want to know whether a hybrid is available. From the pages read today:

  • Lexus TX: a three-row SUV. The 2026 TX page lists the gas TX 350 (6 or 7 seats) and the TX 500h performance hybrid (6 seats). The page also mentions available power-folding third-row seats.
  • Lexus LX: the 2027 LX page lists the LX 700h in 4-, 5- or 7-seat layouts. The page does not use the phrase "third row," but seven seats implies one.
  • Lexus GX: the 2027 GX page lists seating for up to seven and a gas twin-turbo V6 only. It does not list a hybrid GX.

So for a three-row Lexus hybrid in a family-size body, the TX 500h is the clear answer on the sources we could read, with the large LX 700h above it. The RX, NX and UX pages did not show a third row.

TX 500h and LX 700h in detail

The 2026 TX 500h pairs a turbocharged in-line four with a high-capacity battery and electric motors front and rear, for 366 net combined horsepower and 27 mpg combined, according to the TX page. Its starting price on that page is $72,010 for the 500h F SPORT Performance Premium. By contrast the gas TX 350 lists 275 hp, 23 mpg combined and a starting price of $58,490.

Lexus's press page for the 2027 TX Hybrid, released October 16, 2026, says only that the TX receives minor changes for 2027. It gave no new output, mpg or seating, so the 2026 figures above should not be treated as 2027 figures.

The 2027 LX 700h is a twin-turbo V6 hybrid with 457 net combined horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. The LX 600 gas model lists 409 hp and 19 mpg combined, but the page gave no mpg for the 700h. The 700h trims on the page run from $118,055 (Overtrail) to $143,350 (Ultra Luxury), all 4WD.

Which Lexus hybrid SUV fits which buyer?

This is editorial guidance based on the published figures, not a test result.

  • Best published fuel economy: the UX Hybrid at 42-43 mpg combined, then the NX 350h at 39-40 mpg.
  • Plug-in electric driving: the NX 450h+ lists 37 miles of electric driving. The RX 450h+ lists 85 MPGe, though the pages we read did not give its electric range.
  • Most power from a hybrid in a non-flagship body: the RX 500h and TX 500h both list 366 net combined hp at 27 mpg.
  • Three rows: the TX 500h (6 seats) or the large LX 700h (up to 7 seats).
  • Lowest entry price: the UX 300h FWD at $39,050 on the 2026 page.

What these pages did not tell us

Several Lexus pages did not publish key figures. The TX, RX, NX and LX press pages listed none of horsepower, mpg or seating in readable text; they point to product-specification PDFs, which we did not use. Hybrid towing ratings, cargo volumes and third-row dimensions were not shown on any page we read, and are left out rather than estimated. Prices on the model pages are starting prices that may exclude destination charges.
